Open Day in Nowa Huta Cultural Centre! Factory of Culture ;)
On 19th and 20th September the doors of Nowa Huta Culture Centre will be open! On this occasion Krakow Choreographic Centre offers free of charge lessons, which can be the beginning of regular work in our groups! We invite children, youth, adults and seniors. Around Center Group, artistic collective functioning within Krakow Choreographic Centre, will also present a spectacle “Makia” choreographed by Agata Syrek.

Workshops with Around Center Group will take place on Saturday 19th September according to following schedule.
Contemporary dance (METAphysical Laboratory) – intermediate – open lesson, which will present a model system of year-round work in Laboratory. Classes are designed for those who are already familiar with the contemporary dance technique, with technical base. Lesson requires from participants a lot of concentration and physical fitness.

Contemporary dance (PRO Laboratory) – advanced - open lesson, which will present a model system of work in newly created group PRO Laboratory. Classes are directed to demanding and challenging dancers with high technical skills in a field of contemporary dance technique and focus on intensive training. Class requires high physical fitness, openness for the challenges and combining different styles of movement.

Project Senior – methods of body work – classes for elders, focused on safe and non-invasive ways of keeping fit and physical condition. Activities have variable dynamics and introduce elements of yoga, gymnastics, relaxation, breathing and stretching exercises. The purpose of these classes is to increase body awareness and knowledge about your own possibilities of movement.

Dance for the Greens – beginners – open lesson directed to the people, who are completely beginners, but who would like to join the Laboratory and start learning to dance. Activities focus on preparing our body to stage dance techniques, especially contemporary dance. Lessons are varied, intense and require openness and commitment from the participants.

Contemporary dance for youth (WOW!Laboratory) - the new group in Krakow Choreographic Centre! An open lesson of young team, presenting technology of contemporary dance. During the classes there will be an opportunity to learn elements of ballet, jazz and other assistive techniques, as well as group creative tasks.

Small Theatre of Movement – children in the age of 5-7 and 8-10 – open lesson, presenting specific system of work in the Small Theatre of Movement, where we connect movement and theater. During the classes children will be encourage to work in a group, without losing their own creativity. They will have a good time but also they will get to know their own body from a completely new and fascinating side thanks to the movement possibilities.
